Announcing: Less Discomfort, Faster Recovery
Your board-certified dermatologists at Genesis Dermatology always employ state-of-the-art technology and the latest techniques to ensure our patients have the best possible experience when receiving treatment at our Jupiter, Florida, office. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the addition of two of those technological advances to our practice.
The Halo Laser
The first, the Halo Laser, is a hybrid fractional laser system that uses a combination of wavelengths to correct visible signs of sun damage or aging, as well as fine lines, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone or texture. It utilizes both ablative and non-ablative lasers to produce results. The ablative-type of laser has been considered the gold standard in restoring skin to its previous youthful appearance, but its associated downtime—often as long as two weeks—was a drawback. The non-ablative type, used to gently heat the dermis and epidermis, required less downtime but many more treatments to achieve the desired effect.
What makes Halo different
Halo’s unique combination of the two types of laser retains the benefits of both without the drawbacks: deep, long-lasting repair with less discomfort and without the extended downtime for healing. This new system enables us to deliver quick energy pulses with precision to the deeper layer of the skin while leaving the surface layer of the skin largely untouched. The Halo “intelligent” delivery system determines the precise amount of energy required to achieve the results you desire. It also uses a special cooling tip to help keep you more comfortable during treatment.
What can you expect?
A Halo laser treatment will take approximately two hours, including preparation, treatment, and in-office recovery time. Many people can return to work immediately afterward. Halo treatments encourage the skin to regenerate by stimulating the production of collagen to achieve satisfying results. Halo treatments work by fractionally disrupting the skin and stimulate the production of collagen, therefore, giving one a long-lasting youthful glow. And because it’s so gentle, it can be used in conjunction with other cosmetic rejuvenation procedures.
PRO-NOX
In addition to the Halo system, we are also introducing the PRO-NOX nitrous oxide delivery system to help keep you as comfortable as possible during treatment with the Halo Laser as well as our other cosmetic procedures. The safest nitrous oxide mixer available, it not only provides pain relief but helps lessen stress for our patients who may feel some anxiety before or during a procedure.
Nitrous oxide has been used for decades in medical settings to deliver safe, effective anxiety and pain control without the lingering after-effects of oral or injected drugs, and with no possibility of addiction. When the gas is inhaled, the patient becomes relaxed and peaceful, and any discomfort is minimized or eliminated entirely.
Why PRO-NOX is different
The cutting-edge PRO-NOX machine delivers an ideal combination of 50 percent nitrous oxide—often called “laughing gas”—and 50 percent oxygen to gently soothe anxiety and relieve pain. The unique feature of PRO-NOX is the ability of the patient to self-administer the analgesic so you receive only the amount of relaxation or sedation you require. It begins to work in seconds, yet you will be able to drive yourself home after the procedure because the effects of the gas mixture will fade within five minutes.
At Genesis Dermatology we have one goal: providing the results you desire with the least amount of downtime in the most comfortable manner possible. If you’ve been hesitant to go for that new, fresher look you’ve been wanting, come in and let us show you how the addition of the new Halo and PRO-NOX systems have revolutionized the delivery of cosmetic procedures.
